Pink Power Indoor Date Ideas

With the pandemic, everyone is advised to practice social distancing whenever possible and to just stay at home. It’s tough for anyone, anywhere, especially for those in the frontlines. So let’s do our part and stay at home, as much as possible.

Now, we know staying in and watching a movie gets dull after a while and with Valentine’s around the corner, how can you make that special and romantic for you and your partner? Well, we’ve got a few ideas up our sleeves!

Have a movie night (but more romantic)

Okay, hear us out, this wouldn’t be just your typical movie night. The key to making anything more special is effort. Turn up the romance by setting up the atmosphere in your living room or bedroom. Dimmed lighting, a candle here and there, some fairy lights, furry throws, strawberries, and maybe some champagne (or coffee, if that’s what they prefer) would be a ton of help to set the mood.

Make your date more special by turning off both your phones and focusing on the movie and each other. Cuddle up under some warm blankets, turn on your favorite romantic movie, and get cozy.

Take camping indoors

Had some great memories hiking and being out into the mountains and the woods? Why not recreate it at home? Pitch your tent in the middle of the living room or just an umbrella on the patio, add some fairy lights, and give a whole new definition to staying in!

If you don’t have a tent, your patio umbrella will do! Bring pillows, blankets, and your favorite snacks, lay down under the stars, real or otherwise, hold hands, and just talk. No distractions, just you and your partner. You’d be surprised at how this date night could turn out to be one of the most romantic and intimate nights you could have with your significant other.

Build a DIY Project

Okay, so we all know the struggle of putting together IKEA furniture, but we bet we can make a fun date out of it! Maybe there’s an old cabinet or sofa that you’re thinking of flipping. Then it’s time to whip out your Pink Power tool set and impress your SO with your whimsical and yet, fairly practical Valentine’s day date idea. All you need is a project and a set of basic power tools, and you’ve got yourself a hot date! Hopefully, not literally, though, but we’re not too worried. Pink Power tools are not only covered in the color l’amour, they are also powerful and functional while being lightweight and easy to use. Since we design power tools for women, we think about what they need and what allows them to do more.

With this date night idea, not only do you end up with a cool piece of furniture, you and your partner also get that sense of accomplishment together! And that is a successful date night in our books.

Challenge each other to a cooking competition

If you and your partner love to cook, then this might be a perfect date for you! Challenge yourselves to outcook each other by preparing dinner for the other. Or you can team up and challenge yourselves to take on that complicated recipe you’ve seen Gordon Ramsay make. Either way, it’ll end up being a super fun and delicious night for the both of you!

Have a Board Game Night

Grab some takeaway and your favorite board games and have a night of fun! You’ll find that you can learn a lot about your partner when playing tabletop games. Go some classic games for two with Jenga, Uno, Scrabble, or try out some newly released card and board games, like Jaipur, Patchwork, or Fog of Love. There are so many new and innovative games to try!

Set up a home spa

Time to dig around your bathroom for some pamper treatments for you and your boo. Be sure to set the mood by lighting scented candles and turning on soft, relaxing spa music. You can even go the extra mile and scatter some rose petals around. Exchange facial treatments, massages, and a relaxing hot bath for you and your partner to unwind in a very intimate way. After, indulge in some snacks that are both delicious and healthy for your skin!

Write songs and play music together

If you and your partner have a musical creative side, take writing love letters and poems to a whole new level by writing a song for each other or writing a song about your epic love story. If you feel that you have no songwriting prowess to speak of, you can always just grab your guitar or gather around the piano and serenade each other in your own intimate and romantic take on karaoke!

Whichever date idea you go with, the most important thing is to always take into consideration what want your partner likes or wants to do and that you do these things together. After all, Valentines is about showing your care and love for your significant other. Take the time to focus on them and your relationship on this special day.
